Greetings in the name of the Lord!

We would like to take a moment to thank you for visiting our website. As our congregational name [The House of Study Baptist Congregation] implies, we desire to study the Scriptures and follow their implicit teachings.

Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel? ~ Ezekiel 33:11

God does not desire to take our life, but to give us life!

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. ~ Ezekiel 36:26

Do you want the new heart and the new life, He desires to give to you?

And he [Abram] believed in the LORD; and he [the LORD] counted it to him [Abram] for righteousness. ~ Genesis 15:6

Our righteousness comes from believing God. This righteousness is not based upon our works. Although a person who has been indwelt by the Spirit of the Living God will produce works. For those who put their faith in Jesus the Messiah as their Saviour, we immerse them in water. This does not save a person, but is an acknowledgement of their change in status. They are now following the Way of Jesus the Messiah and they want the world to know of their faith! We study the Word of God in the English language using the King James translation.

All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. ~ Psalm 22:27

We believe that each congregation should be made up of all the nations who have put their faith in The Messiah, Jew and Gentile alike.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. ~ Jeremiah 31:31-34.

It is inherent upon every believer to be prepared to “give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you…”
